Special Interests
Dr. Macdonald has served as governor of the American College of Cardiology and as a member of the board of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. He has consulted in interventional cardiology product development, lectured at national symposia, been involved in numberous clinical research trials, and most recently served as Clinical Associate Professor of Cardiology at East Carolina University. In addition he has authored or coauthored more than 45 publications in cardiology.
Comments: Dr. Macdonald has personally performed more than 13,000 diagnostic caths and 4,500 interventions, using the radial artery approach in more than 3,000 procedures. It is the goal of Spartanburg Cardiology to provide timely, state of the art cardiovascular patient care, and be responsive to needs of referring physicians.
