Hospital Volunteers Share The Love
Prepared by: Steve Wong Upstate Carolina Medical Center Marketing Phone 864-487-1515 Click Photos for High Resolution Images  Love was not the only thing in the air on Valentine’s Day… so were heart-shaped balloons being given to the patients at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Each year, the hospital’s volunteers do "a little something" on Valentine’s Day to let the patients know they are in the minds of others. This year, that "little something" was presenting each patient with a colorful balloon and a cheerful greeting. At Upstate Carolina, there are about 24 volunteers, who provide a variety of services to the hospital and its patients. Among those good deeds are providing annual scholarships, day-to-day support of hospital activities, and special projects. Some of the volunteers who delivered balloons this year were Vicki Scerbo, Margretta Roueche, and Janet Friedman. |
