Dixon previously served as Chief Nursing Officer for Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, GA. He has also worked at the South Carolina Heart Center as the Clinical Research Coordinator and at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital on the Medical Intensive Care Unit. His education includes a bachelor’s degree in nursing and another undergraduate degree in history, both from Lander University in Greenwood, SC. He recently received a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Dixon, 40, and his family now reside in Duncan. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children: Paul, 12, Cole, 6, and Julia Kate, 2. In his spare time, he enjoys spending it with his family, following University of Georgia football, and traveling. They attend Spartanburg Community Church. "In the short time that I’ve been here, I’ve been made to feel very welcome," Dixon said.
