Upstate Carolina Medical Center will present a free community seminar—HealthTalk—and book signing on Dr. Randall Moss’s new book, "Live Longer and Love Life" Tuesday, June 19, at 6 p.m. in the hospital’s cafeteria. The public is invited to attend this free event.

Board certified by the American Board Of Physician Specialists, Dr. Moss is a native of Cherokee County and long-time member of the medical staff at Upstate Carolina. His book, which was co-authored by Joy Clary Brown, was released this month. He has degrees both as a physician and as a pharmacist. He is not only a respected family physician, but also a renowned specialist in anti-aging medicine and bariatrics (nutrition and weight control). A popular speaker national and internationally, he is on the cutting edge of implementing longevity principles in medical practice.

This is what Amazon.com has to say about his book… Do you want to live a longer, healthier life? Do you want to enjoy your life and make others happy? Do you want to leave a lasting legacy? Then this book is for you! In Live Longer and Love Life, which merges medical science with biblical principles, you will learn how to do the following: Live a healthier, longer life. Be happier and more contented. Live with purpose and meaning. Make a difference in the lives of others. Leave the world a better place. King David made numerous mistakes, yet the Bible records that he lived a long, fulfilled life. From this book, learn the longevity principles in his life that are supported by the latest medical research. Then you, like King David, can Live Longer and Love Life.

"It’s not often that a member of the hospital’s medical staff publishes a book," Steve Wong, Marketing Director, said. "This is certainly an achievement for Dr. Moss. The hospital wants to offer the public as many different options as possible when it comes to healthcare in Cherokee County. Here’s a great opportunity to learn more about general health and happiness from one of our own."

The hospital routinely offers a free HealthTalk (public seminar) each month. A light meal will be served.
