The American Cancer Society in collaboration with Upstate Carolina Medical Center will host a Look Good… Feel Better session on Monday, March 12, at the hospital. Look Good… Feel Better is a free program for women who are undergoing cancer treatment and is designed to help them improve their appearance and self-image by teaching them hands-on beauty techniques that overcome the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Licensed cosmetologists, aestheticians, and/or nail technicians volunteer their time to work with the ladies. Each lady attending receives a free box of make-up valued at over $300. The session will be held at Upstate Carolina in the education Classroom at 6 p.m. Look Good… Feel Better is sponsored jointly by Upstate Carolina; the American Cancer Society; the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association Foundation; and the National Cosmetology Association. The program is free, but pre-registration is necessary. For more information or to register, call the American Cancer Society toll free at 877-356-2116 by March 7. Space is limited. You must register to attend.
